About CCC
Calvary Chapel of Canton is an outgrowth Calvary Chapel of Akron, under the leadership of Pastor Ted Shuler.
When Calvary Chapel of Akron closed, Pastor Ted and his wife continued to keep an open mind and heart about the future, and prayed that the Lord would lead them according to His will with regard to possibly planting a new church. In June of 2016, an individual who was one of the core group of believers from Calvary Chapel of Akron, experienced a remarkable dream. In the dream, God clearly instructed him that there was to be a new Calvary Chapel opened in Canton, that it was to be CCC (either Calvary Chapel of Canton or Calvary Chapel Central), and that Pastor Ted was to be the pastor of the church. Furthermore, there was to be a keyboard purchased before anything else. In obedience to what he firmly believed to have been a clear directive from God, this individual relayed this information to Pastor Ted. This was the confirmation for which Pastor Ted was waiting, and in obedience to the Lord, Calvary Chapel of Canton (CCC) was born.
The Lord has RICHLY blessed CCC in so many ways. A beautiful electronic keyboard was quickly and amazingly donated from THE LIGHT in Kent, and Pastor Ted’s home was rearranged such that CCC began as a home church! A good number of the core group of believers that were left from Calvary Chapel of Akron now attend CCC.
CCC has begun active involvement in a local faith-based community program for inner city Canton youth, and we are praying and searching for other ways that the Lord would have us serve the Canton, Ohio community.
CCC also supports Hope 4 Kidz missionary program in the Philippines.
CCC invites and welcomes you to worship with us in this Holy Spirit-born and Holy Spirit-filled church!
